1) Fake Nails.
I had a problem painting my nails in the beginning. I found that if I painted them before I put them on, it made for a much easier and nicer job. You just have to give the nails time to dry before applying them. (Usually overnight) Now, to paint the nails, I took a small board and put 10 drywall nails in it in a row. Then I took a small piece of masking tape and rolled it into a thin roll and applied it to the top of the nail. This gave the tape some height as well as having a double stick surface. Then after trimming the nails or sanding the edge, just put them on the tapes. Now it's time to paint them and this is usally 2 coats and if desired a clear coat. When dry, just apply a very small amout of nail glue to your nail, making sure it does not run off the nail. It doesn't take much. I have also found that some nail glues, simply don't work. I like "Kiss" or "Nailene" nail glue. To remove the nails, I use a nail file and after finding an edge to get under, just prying the nails off one at a time. If you are careful, you can reuse the nails a few times.

2) Putting on a Bra
This sounds a bit basic, but I wasn't sure how to put a bra on at first. I couldn't get the hooks fastened because I couldn't get my hands up high enough on my back. A lot of "guys" can't. So, what I found was if you put the bra on at your waist with the hooks in front, you could then fastened it very easily. Now you just spin the bra around so the hooks are on your back and pull the bra up slipping your arms through the straps as you pull it up.
3) Dressing in Public
The worst thing for a "Trans" girl to do in public is to dress inappropriately. I found in the beginning, I wished to wear heels and a dress all the time. This just isn't the best for shopping at Tops. You need to dress as the rest do, so you don't stand out and bring attention to yourself. Being less conspicuous is best in the beginning so you can build your confidence.
4) Removing Make-up
The first few times I tried to remove my make-up, I was told to use baby oil which was hard and messy. Store bought make-up remover was next, but I wasn't happy with that either. Then I tried generic baby wipes(non-scented) and that worked great. I would recommend trying this if you haven't yet.
